This week is Teacher Appreciation Week and today is the official Teacher Appreciation Day!  So make sure you take the time to thank a teacher, and this includes all of us homeschoolers too!

Nurses Appreciation Week starts today!!  I have so much respect for nurses and all the hard work, care & time they devote to their patients.  When my oldest son Andrew was 4 months old, he had two open heart surgeries and we lived in a hospital for over 3 weeks while he recovered.  My family will be forever grateful to all the wonderful nurses who took such great care of Andrew and helped us all feel as comfortable as possible considering the circumstances.  So to all the nurses out there, THANK YOU!!

FREE Comic Book Day is almost here!!  FREE Comic Book Day is the first Saturday in May each year when participating comic book shops give away comic books for FREE to anyone who walks into their stores!

The Home Depot is hosting another fun-filled kids workshop this Saturday, May 5th at 9 a.m – 12 p.m!  Gather the kids and let them take part in the Free Kids Workshop where they’ll get to build and take home their very own FREE Windmill Planter at Home Depot!

All kids ages 5-12 get to keep their craft and receive a FREE Kids Workshop Apron, commemorative pin, and certificate of achievement.
